    We try to build synthetic materials in order to understand better how matter functions, how specific materials get properties such as conductivity, resistivity, magnetism. For this purpose, we build synthetic materials out of ultra-cold atoms captured in cages of light. Solids are modeled in this way. Immanuel Bloch is Director at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics at Garching and Professor of Experimental Physics at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich.

    On the background of global energy supply, climate change and fading-out fossil resources, the efficient and sustainable implementation of renewable energies is strongly demanded. Among these, biomass already today plays a prominent role. Main energy application is its use for domestic heating or combined district heat and power production. Much larger biomass potentials can be raised by using biogenic residues from agriculture, forestry, land cultivation as well as waste from food and feed production. However, the usually low energy density of these non-edible types of biomass prevents its use in larger scale, because the transportation range is limited. The European research project BioBoost addressed this challenge by investigating the conversion of biomass to intermediate energy carriers for production of heat, electrical power and transportation fuels. These energy carriers, produced by three selected conversion technologies within the project, can be applied to large and small scale applications.

    Der Begriff Anthropomatik setzt sich zusammen aus Athropos das ist der Mensch und dann eben Matik Automation und zum anderen aus Metrik das heißt die Erfassung der Sinne des Menschen. Die Wissenschaft der Symbiose zwischen Menschen und Maschinen Die Vorzüge der Maschine sind für mich das sie allgegenwärtig sind ständig mit allen anderen Geräten vernetzt sein können über das Internet und die Menschern bringen eine gewisse Wärme mit sich und eine Empathie wenn man diese beiden Vorzüge miteinander verbindet hat man eigentlich ein ideales System geschaffen.
